Team Description

The Security Operations Team is a group of highly skilled engineers and analysts with the goal of providing tools and services that secure the environment.

What You Will Do

We are hiring a Senior Security Engineer - Security Operations to join our Team. Your responsibilities will include

  • Responsible for the daily operational activities for TWDC endpoint tooling. 

  • Conceptualize and develop solutions to improve security posture and lead projects from conception to design to implementation

  • Perform deep analysis of systems to understand limitations and weaknesses to identify cyber security challenges that need to be addressed

  • Drive security risk decisions and influence technical architecture

  • Solve information security problems before they surface by using cutting edge strategies to address emerging cyber-threats

  • Participate in the development of architectural designs for new solutions to ensure security requirements are built-in from the beginning

  • Continual self-education of emerging technologies to assist in the development of secure configurations (i.e. Cloud Web Services, IoT devices, mobile applications, control systems, etc.)

  • Monitor industry trends and identify best practices and/or methodologies to implement in-house

  • Works with other engineers within the organization to prioritize work to improve the security posture of The Walt Disney Company.

  • Ability to generate basic customized scripts in common languages such as python, ruby, pearl, and/or bash.

  • Ability to identify risk and develop appropriate mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate risk.

  • Ability to conduct independent research using various information systems and tools.

Must Have

  • Minimum 5+ years working as a Security Engineer or Architect.

  • Working knowledge of network and IT security components, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-malware software, data encryption, VPN's, vulnerability scanners, server operating systems, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.

  • Knowledge of common web and mobile application vulnerabilities, such as the OWASP Top 10 for web and mobile, and ability to provide solutions

  • Ability to solve complex problems and develop creative alternatives, as well as continuous process improvement skills.

  • Demonstrated professional written, verbal, and presentation communications skills.

  • Understanding of project management principles.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a high-performance team.

Nice To Have

  • CISSP or equivalent.

  • Certifications in any major endpoint tool

  • Cloud Security experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this remote position is $109,400-$168,700 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
