What You Will Do 

Reporting to the EVP, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, and as an integral member of the Technology & Digital Leadership Team, this role will focus on identifying, developing, and scaling emerging digital products and platforms that will evolve the segment’s digital products ecosystem to drive future growth and market leadership. Strengthening an intrapreneurial culture focusing on growth and efficiencies with venture capitalist like practices to drive measurable results. This individual will need to possess the leadership, creativity, and analytical capabilities to develop and execute Disney’s digital product ecosystem in partnership with stakeholders across Technology & Digital and beyond. 

 

It will be essential for the SVP to have deep knowledge and passion for creating innovative products and 

conceiving and gaining stakeholder and guest adoption for new business models – all grounded in consumer data and insights. It will be key for the leader to be well versed in current and emerging trends and know how to leverage our content and brands to make world class products. Establish segment and cross segment collaboration community to service our guest. The SVP will oversee a portfolio of emerging products & platforms, lead the Technology & Digital transformation from “projects to products”, partner with business and commercial leaders, and ensure we not only stay ahead of consumer and market demands but set trends in the industry. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and evolve the emerging digital product portfolio including the total experience program, Spark, and the segment’s emerging digital product ecosystem. 

  • Develop and lead a new technology product management organization for platforms including the Grid, Core, Experience, Connected Platform, among others. 

  • Lead Technology & Digital’s transformation from a project-centric to a product-centric delivery model, delighting and solving for the needs of our consumers. 

  • Strengthen our intrapreneurial culture, further our guest-centric focus and enhance our metric driven culture to deliver results for our consumers, businesses and segments. 

  • Drive the development and implementation of new business models, exploring innovative avenues for growth and expansion in web and mobile channels, and cross-segment. 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of emerging digital products and platforms and processes for scaling and launching new product offerings. 

  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging forward-thinking ideas and solutions. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the segment to ensure product strategy, development, and management are executed in a data and evidence-driven manner. 

  • Develop and mentor a high-caliber team to create sustained performance. 

  • Partner with in-market leader and business leaders to create in-market commercialization plans 

Required Qualifications & Skills 

  • 16+ years of related work experience in technology and capabilities, including significant leadership responsibilities. 

  • Strong background in leading digital transformations and transitioning teams from project to product delivery models (practices, strategies, structure, processes, etc.) 

  • Experience leading a significant product portfolio. 

  • Experience in scaling early-stage products or platforms into successful, revenue-generating businesses 

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate large teams 

  • Experience with management of geographically distributed teams 

  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and problem-solving prowess 

  • Demonstrated experience navigating the investment landscape (e.g., pitching to Venture Capitalists, securing funding, and managing “investor” relationships), including experience in crafting compelling pitches and securing funding for ambitious projects  

  • Strong acumen for identifying market opportunities and translating them into viable business propositions 

Education 

  • Bachelors’ degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of experience 


The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $361,300.00 to $484,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
