This role sits in the Data Products & Platforms organization within DX and as an Lead Data Product Manager for unstructured data, you will report into the Manager, Data Product Management who oversees our guest data domains.

The Data Products & Platforms (DPP) team seeks a technically adept and hardworking leader to serve as the Lead Data Product Manager for unstructured data. In this role, you will collaborate across Disney Experiences (DX) to develop assets that support data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities will include the design, research, and implementation of sophisticated data products that use unstructured data sources, with a focus on delivering practical business outcomes.

You Will:

  • Lead the strategy and execution for the development and enhancement of data products using unstructured data across the organization.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including business leaders, technical leaders, data scientists, and engineers, to define and deliver effective data solutions that address complex business challenges.

  • Oversee the data lifecycle, from data collection and ingestion through data processing to data analysis and deployment, ensuring high data quality and accessibility.

  • Champion innovative data techniques and tools, exploring and integrating advanced analytics and approaches to enhance data product capabilities.

  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners, ensuring clarity in effort goals, progress, and outcomes.

  • Stay aware of industry trends and advancements in data management and unstructured data utilization to keep our data practices ahead of the curve.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in data product management or a similar role, with a deep focus on unstructured data.

  • Expertise in handling large datasets and delivering data-driven products with sophisticated data.

  • Deep technical proficiency with data processing tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS), data modeling, coding languages (SQL, Python), and ELT processes.

  • Prior experience with concepts like data contracts and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Experience with machine learning and AI technologies applied to unstructured data.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize teams with varied strengths.

  • Superb communication and partner management skills, capable of working across various levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

  • Experience in the entertainment or technology industry is a plus.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $149,240.00 to $200,200.00 per year and in Washington is $156,292.00 to $209,660.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
