Job Summary:

As a Senior Product Manager within Ad Platforms technology, you will be part of the team that is redefining addressable advertising in the Live streaming & VOD space for some of the most-used consumer applications in the world. The right person for this role will be able to identify & collaborate on solutions to complex problems, communicate requirements concisely while articulating a clear vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role will oversee parts of core ad services within Disney’s proprietary ad server which handles targeting, decisioning & ad experience treatments. Work is focused on addressable advertising within the Hulu and Disney+ applications along with future expansion opportunities. Responsibilities:

  • Develop & execute on a product roadmap that considers multiple major projects with competing timelines & resources
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on value identification, cost savings, and alignment with overall business strategy
  • Collaborate with other product managers to drive innovation in platform services, including core ad serving, programmatic, measurement, operational data store, business intelligence and more
  • Act as the product owner for an engineering Scrum team, participating in agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and feature definition to ensure successful development and delivery
  • Work closely with the larger Engineering organization to execute against the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of features that align with the needs of the business
  • Partner with the Platform Operations team to optimize the ongoing health of ad server components and identify areas for improvement

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with an established technology or digital media company
  • Experience working with addressable video ad serving technology, including direct experience with an established digital video ad server
  • Proven experience in a product role with the ability to demonstrate a record of success using data-driven decision-making skills
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and deliver solutions in a complex, ever-evolving space
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share a vision to people with varying levels of technical acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the Live streaming addressable advertising space including an understanding of streaming protocols & ad insertion methods
  • Understanding of ancillary ad serving components such as creative asset transcoding, content metadata models, user segmentation & other data models
  • Experience with: Airtable, Datadog, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Slack, Google Docs


The hiring range for this position in New York, NY and Seattle, WA is $142,600 to $191,100 per year, and in Los Angeles, CA is $136,100 to $182,400 per year.The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
