As a Sr. Product Manager II within the Ad Platform technology team at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, you will be a part of the team redefining multi-media advertising. You will be responsible for establishing product strategy, defining requirements consumable for engineering and driving execution to establish the platform’s future.

Responsibilities:
Own and drive the product strategy, requirements definition, backlog creation, and roadmap for Disney’s Digital and Cross Platform advertisings Billing, Invoicing, and Revenue Recognition products and automated processes. This individual will be responsible for developing detailed, actionable product requirements to ensure your business, architecture, engineering, and QA partners have a clear picture of the product capabilities to be built and how to validate they are functioning as designed. Developing Accounting and Revenue procedures in conjunction with Disney’s Accounting and Finance team that represent Accounting/Finance best practices, including auditing practices and documentation.
Product & Subject Matter Expert: Intimately know the accounting products you are supporting, the accounting principles and user workflows and how they relate to the “Quote to Cash” revenue lifecycle and supporting technical stack.
Product Delivery: Own your team’s execution of the product roadmap, including business use cases, user stories, and UX/UI experience, in an agile develop environment. Organize and execute product User Acceptance Testing and product release planning.
Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Program Management team members to efficiently estimate level of effort and execute against the product roadmap deliverables within the defined timelines, & budgets.
Maintains a deep empathy for our users and wants to creatively solve problems with a user-first mentality Have a do what it takes attitude. Be flexible, adaptable and a team-player. Experience shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment with on/off shore agile teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical field, or equivalent experience in Accounting or Advertising Technology.
7 years of experience in product management and accounting, preferably in video & advertising technology.
Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
Working knowledge in finance, understanding concepts of account receivables, general ledger and basic accounting
Expert in working with data and numbers and excellent skills in MS-Excel
Highly analytical, resourceful, team oriented, and ability to work independently
Ability to communicate difficult concepts and collaborate with others to adopt a different point of view
Ability to think strategically to solve complex technical and operational challenges in a timely manner
Proficient in SQL, JIRA, Excel, Visio/Lucidchart, or similar productivity tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience with the digital advertising life cycle, audience measurement, and ad tech
The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica is $152,200 to 204,100 per year, in San Francisco is $166,800 to 223,600 and in New York/Seattle is $159,500 to 213,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
