The Senior Logistics Analyst position will manage any of the following functions in support of the flow of information and product from origin to destination; optimizing costs while meeting customer service policy commitments. Manage all aspects of logistics client relationship and customer service policy commitments for product destined to Disney Clients. Manage following aspects of logistics including, but not limited to logistics systems management, Supplier relationship management, Client relationship management, Supply Chain Partner relationship management, logistics contracting support, transportation daily flow services, freight audit/payment/claims and logistics projects which achieve service level commitments while minimizing costs.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Management
- Manage efficient product flow and strategies via exceptions management to meet product demand.
- Manage all shipments from Supplier cancel date, delivery compliance, consolidation, to distribution center appointments utilizing system to accomplish consistent days in transit.
- Network Optimization
- Logistics network flow optimization – lane, hub and flow processes
- Freight terms optimization – Convert Supplier managed freight costs imbedded in first cost to Disney managed freight
- Logistics Management System (ORACLE)
- Manage the system users or directly manage daily operations – ready to ship, planning, shipment tendering, consolidation, delivery receipt, audit and payment.
- User operating guidelines, training and performance
- Data integrity validation, communications exceptions resolution
- Supply Chain Partner Performance
- Performance dashboards and metrics standards
- Quarterly supply chain partner performance continuous improvement feedback sessions and action planning.
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Logistics systems access and Supplier shipment booking management
- Training manual, training and improvement/issues resolution
- Disney Internal Clients Relationship Management
- Create and maintain the Logistics Client Service Policy quarterly metrics, scorecards and dashboard.
- Identify variances, reasons and coordinate Logistics management quarterly internal and external reviews to drive continuous improvement
- Inbound reporting – status of orders to merchants, planning and distribution center.
- Logistics models for our clients (e.g. estimated landed cost estimates/actual, cycle time, alternative transit costs, etc)
- Logistics Projects
- Manage projects as identified in our business planning and shipment execution process that drive improvements in service, cost systems or other areas as deemed necessary independently.
- Create and maintain the Logistics Client Service Policy quarterly metrics, scorecards and dashboard.
- Identify variances, reasons and coordinate Logistics management quarterly internal and external reviews to drive continuous improvement
- Freight terms optimization – Convert Supplier managed freight costs imbedded in first cost to Disney managed freight
- Ops Process Integration
- Support managers to provide training and leverage best practice across different regions and LOBs
- Support and implement the ops for new origins, destinations and business expansion in APAC as SME
Requirements:
- 4 years minimum of Transportation/Logistics related responsibility. Experience with managing logistics operations for multiple countries/areas in APAC region with knowledge of customs regulation
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint and excel to perform Data analysis,
- Ability to implement global strategies to improve service, quality and cost of logistics across all lines of business, across all sites.
- Great change management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent relationship skills with ability to work in a global, multi-functional environment with all levels of stakeholders, from Executives to Subject Matter Experts.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills in English
- Critical thinking & problem solving to assess logistics opportunities and provide actionable outcome-based solutions.
- Desired – bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Good project management experience and skills,
- ORACLE OTM or TMS experience a plus, Logistics Management certification a plus, SQL and Tableau proficiency a plus
