About the Role & Program

The Disneyland Resort Communications & Public Affairs encompasses media relations, public relations, corporate citizenship, government relations, internal communications, and executive communications. Often working with other business units across the resort, the team strives to protect and elevate the reputation of the Disneyland Resort. This internship opportunity focuses on internal communication and how we strategically engage our Cast Members and share their stories!

What You Will Do

  • Share what the magic of working at Disneyland Resort is like. Pull back the curtain to showcase our culture, environment, work, and opportunities through internal and external communication channels.
  • Collaborate with the Communications & Public Affairs team to help ensure we tell our Disneyland story in the most innovative and creative ways.
  • Form partnerships locally and across the company to amplify our message.
  • Support the day-to-day priorities of the Internal Communications team, including the distribution of our operational communications vehicles.
  • You will get in on the action – helping with deliveries, installation, backstage distribution, and other tasks that help us bring campaigns to life.
  • Have those “pinch yourself moments” when you walk down Main Street, U.S.A. before park opening or covering Cast-exclusive events after park close, and you realize: you’re working at Disneyland!

  • You have project management skills and can augment the overall vision of a project with key partners to deliver results.

  • You’re a quick learner who enjoys seeking new challenges big and small.

It would also be great if you have/are familiar with

  • You have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, videography, and/or photography.
  • You are looking to tap into the creative side of your brain by formulating graphic design elements that complement our communication campaigns.
  • You’re knowledgeable about AP style and can craft messaging with quick turnaround in a fast-paced environment.
  • You possess a deep passion and expertise in Disney culture, actively enriching to shaping its future.

Education

  • You will be an undergraduate or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related major.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Required Materials

  • A writing sample is required for this position. For full consideration, please include a link to your writing sample on your résumé or attach it to your cover letter. A portfolio with examples of all media (video/photo/writing, etc.) is also encouraged. Applicants without a writing sample will not be considered a completed application packet and may not be fully considered for the position.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the requirements below

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
  • This internship is located in Anaheim, CA; candidates should be receptive to providing their own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • This internship is a hybrid position - It is vital to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • You are expected to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) during the internship.
