Responsibilities:
- Receive and handle all soiled Costumes and undergarments from various Shows, Parades, Spectaculars, and Events
- Operate industrial washers and dryers and responsible for the handling and replacement of detergent and various other chemicals for these machines which come housed in large containers that weigh up to but not limited to 50lbs
- Hand wash, spot clean, iron, steam, fold, and sort garments
- Resolve the contamination of costumes
- Contaminations include but are not limited to bodily fluids, exposure to chemicals, and other foreign substances
Basic Qualifications:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- Comfortable with prolonged standing for two to three hours at a time and heavy lifting/pushing costume inventory that may weigh 25 lbs or more
- Operate in a fast paced environment
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Able to apply Safety in Motion Techniques
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
- Must support all other Cast Members working on the teams
- Can complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality of work
- Able to provide year-round ongoing availability of Friday evening from 5 p.m. and after, and full availability Saturday and Sunday, as well as full availability for every individual holiday throughout the year. Full availability (Sunday-Saturday) is also required for the weeks surrounding the Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Previous industry Washer/Dryer experience or experience in a similar environment
- Previous Warehouse or similar type work or experience
- Previous experience working in a highly repetitive job- i.e. factory work or heavy machine operator
- Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events
- Full availability seven days a week year round
Additional Information:
SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYOur Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. You may be scheduled an overnight shift. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
