As a Material Specialist, you will own all aspects of materials controls for the Facilities Asset Management (FAM) to include procurement of all parts and services. You will process all SAP/eSource contracts, change orders, goods contracts, and completing service entries, good receipts, check requests, and new vendor set-up. You will also follow-up on invoices.
You will report to the Manager – Project Controls.
Responsibilities/You Will:
· Support Project Managers relating to procurement activities.
· Manage all processing of material controls for procurement.
· Procure all parts and services for Facilities Asset Management (FAM).
· Process all SAP/eSource contracts, change orders, and check requests.
· Process all service entries and good receipts.
· Set-up new vendors.
· Follow up on all invoices.
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:
· 2+ years of relevant work experience.
· Experience with SAP.
· Proven experience with concise technical writing in an academic or work environment.
· Understanding of procurement/purchasing procedures.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to follow documented procedures and tested workflow.
· Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Excel.
· Ability to effectively multitask and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
· Ability to pivot between tasks both in-person requests, and email requests.
· Proven experience in succeeding and working with short timelines.
Required Education:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Background in Accounting, bookkeeping, or Accounts Payables preferred.
Preferred Education:
· Some college course work in accounting.
The rate of pay for this position is $27.90. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
