Under the direction of a Senior Manager and/or Manager, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting with the research, procurement, and payment processing of equipment and supplies needed for their respective area(s).

This position reports to the Manager - Art Studio/Services.

This is a Project Hire/Internal Assignment position without any guarantee of permanent placement. 

What You Will Do:

  • Support procurement activities for the Art Studio/Services and Scenic Fabrication departments, including research, ordering, tracking, and payment processing.

  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.

  • Research material availability, lead times, and cost options to support project schedules and budget goals.

  • Create purchase orders and ensure payments are processed in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Monitor and track goods receipts, service entries, and invoice status across multiple systems.

  • Collaborate with Cast Members and Vendors to ensure supply needs are met efficiently and accurately.

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and help resolve procurement challenges as they arise.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

  • Advanced proficiency with SAP in the Disney environment (running actuals, verifying WBS elements, reviewing commitments).

  • Solid working knowledge of Coupa (purchase order requests, goods receipts, service entries, invoice research).

  • Experience with the APEX Vendor Portal (vendor invitations, company code extensions, invoice/payment research, troubleshooting).

  • Proficiency with Concur (pcard allocations, statement processing).

  • Advanced skills in Excel and Smartsheet.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and build steadfast partnerships with Cast Members and Vendors.

  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • Ability to understand technical information, including reading basic technical drawings.

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Scenic Shop or Art Studio environment.

  • Previous Disney experience in purchasing or procurement.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of related industry experience is preferred

The pay rate for this role in Anaheim, CA is $29.75 per hour.
