About the Role & Team

The Retail Allocator determines the allocation strategy for departments & cross-category programs to increase revenue through product flow, performance, and method of replenishment. You will make decisions based on business insights and analytics, pricing, promotion, and event strategies. The Allocator, will evaluate the assortment and react to in-season performance, trends, and insights to inform & adjust future inventory flow and replenishment. The Allocator demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all financial key performance indicators and can balance across channels to achieve intended business results.

What You Will Do

  • In partnership with the leader, develop the allocation strategies for departments & cross-category programs for all channels to achieve growth and profitability that align with core objectives.

  • Serve as an active partner to ensure inventory levels support channel needs.

  • Establish initial presentation quantities.

  • Ensure floor sets and item inventory are positioned to meet critical product launches.

  • Leverage weekly business insights to understand item level performance to increase in-season opportunities and minimize liability.

  • Determine the appropriate methods of replenishment.

  • Identify/recommend backfill strategies for all brick-and-mortar locations.

  • Understand item product lifecycle and manage target exit dates through effective coordination, consolidation, and promotional recommendations.

  • Identify data integrity concerns and request appropriate courses of action to solve them.

  • Understands and applies tools available to purchase, analyze, and react to trends in the business to achieve growth and profitability objectives.

  • Proactively provide communication on stock availability.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of merchandise planning experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools & Business Objects

  • Strong financial and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication skills, including comfort with executive-level presentations.

  • Detailed orientation with strong organizational skills.

  • A positive demeanor with an ability to be responsive to feedback and pivot based on changing organizational priorities.

  • Flexible and adaptable, able to meet timelines in a changing environment.

  • Resourceful with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make decisions.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with peers and partners.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $57,900 to $77,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
