The Scenic Fabrication Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the hourly Scenic Fabrication Artisan team, overseeing the coordination, fabrication, maintenance, and ongoing preservation of both new and existing scenic elements.
This is a full-time, salaried position that reports to the Area Manager of Scenic Fabrication.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for managing and supervising all scenic elements produced or maintained within the Scenic Fabrication shops
- Oversees processes and resources related to scheduling, labor tracking, procurement, expense budgeting, and the utilization of reporting tools
- Provides direction for daily schedules, timesheet management, fabrication requests, and the tracking of new assets
- Exhibits exemplary leadership by fostering cast development and building strong relationships with assigned Cast Members through ongoing engagement and individual meetings
- Collaborates regularly with colleagues in Art Services and Scenic Fabrication, as well as with leaders in Production, Operations, and Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), to ensure effective coordination across departments
- Holds authority for hiring decisions and influences the assignment of hourly Cast Members
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in event production or comparable entertainment industry experience
- 1+ years of leadership experience in a position of greater responsibility, such as Coordinator, Lead, or Guest-Facing Manager
- Demonstrated knowledge of scenic fabrication within a high-volume setting
- Advanced proficiency with various Microsoft Office Suite software and computer programs, including Excel, Outlook, and word processing applications
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, influence, negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver effective feedback
- Proven leadership abilities in mentoring, guiding, and instructing team members
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required Education
- High school degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or equivalent related

The pay range for this role in California is $72,500-$96,500 per year. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
