The Senior Safety Professional – Construction, serves as a key technical resource Facility Asset Management (FAM) projects. The position will support construction safety programs, domestic contractor safety expectations, support the contractor accountability process, ensuring regulatory compliance, and provide field support for designated projects.
Please note that this is a Third Shift role and you will primarily work evenings and overnights, Tuesday – Saturday schedule.
This is a Project Hire role, with no guarantee of permanent placement, with an estimated end date of 9/27/2025.
The Senior Safety Professional will report to Manager, Safety.
What You Will Do
On any given day, as a Senior Safety Professional, you might:
- Provide support to a Line of Business supporting construction activities during third shift hours.
- Apply the safety and health programs, rules, and policies.
- Serve as a technical resource for the implementation and sustainment of construction safety programs.
- Partner with contractors to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards and practices including trenching, scaffolding, fall protection, electrical, cranes, heavy equipment, etc.
- Assist Leaders to prevent injury, reduce risk and assure compliance by integrating actionable, sustainable, efficient, and effective safety processes into their business.
- Assess Safety and Health performance through data review, incident history, and audits. Partner with Leaders to help guide the necessary behavioral or environmental changes, creatively, and cost-effectively.
- Help with Guest-related issues as requested by leadership. Partner with several departments to help target improvements and reduce risks.
- Inform Business Partners and Safety & Health Leadership of safety and health local, global and industry issues and safety standard processes.
- Work to understand the business, its culture and understand the daily challenges in producing "safe outcomes" for the Cast. Understand the internal processes that can be used to incorporate safety and health initiatives.
- Know the importance of and engage appropriate partners and stakeholders on troubleshooting, projects, plans, and goal setting.
- Integrate appropriate safety and health messages into the existing communication vehicles.
- Engage key partners in troubleshooting, project planning, and setting goals.
- Conduct technical assessments to support operations, including daily Safety Management System reviews, incident investigations, and incident log feedback.
- Participate in leadership meetings, site walks, and job safety analyses. Conduct specific tests, such as slip, light, and noise surveys, as needed.
- Collaborate with the Safety Team on indoor air quality investigations.
- Serve as the rotational Safety & Health Duty Manager.
- Review safety scorecards and write quarterly trend analyses, assisting with OSHA complaints and inspections when necessary.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
- 5+ years of safety professional experience
- Proven knowledge of Construction Safety
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, best-practices and guidelines, such as confined space, incident investigation and root-cause analysis
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including third shift, weekends, holidays and evenings
Preferred Qualifications
It would be great if you also have:
- Strong background in safety management of multi-trade construction activities and construction safety.
- Proven experience in managing contractor relationships as the owner.
- Determined and resourceful professional who can solve problems outside area of expertise.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations with internal and external partners.
- Proven experience in hazard identification and mitigation development.
- Creatively resolve problems – sometimes in areas outside your realm of expertise – and work within a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous atmosphere
- Proven strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Passion for mentoring others through training and feedback
- Bachelor of Science degree in the safety and health field
- GSP or CSP certification
- Proficiency in a second language (Spanish)

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,500.00-$138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
