The Sourcing Analyst will be part of a Strategic Sourcing team whose team’s mission is to bring to Disney the best the marketplace has to offer. This mission is accomplished by a combination of segment, category, and geographic teams working collaboratively with stakeholders across every business segment around the world, utilizing a systematic approach to managing the acquisition of goods and services aimed at matching stakeholders’ needs with marketplace capabilities while achieving the lowest total cost of ownership. Strategic Sourcing’s operational goals include enabling achievement of The Walt Disney Company’s strategic priorities through effective sourcing and procurement execution, supporting margin improvement by helping deliver bottom-line financial benefits, and delivering additional business value through initiatives focused on operational excellence.
The Sourcing Analyst will support the execution of Strategic Sourcing projects & strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role will facilitate the competitive bidding of F&B Novelties, collaborating with the stakeholder on requirements, and managing contracts associated with this category.
- Lead and/or support complex sourcing initiatives by assisting in feasibility assessments, providing analysis of current and projected spend, market analysis and trends, best practices identification, RFP preparation, market baskets, bid analysis and supplier performance monitoring.
- Lead and/or support process re-design initiatives with comprehensive analysis of current and proposed changes including cost/benefits analysis, identifying risks and formulating business case.
- Support Strategic Sourcing organization by developing, aggregating, analyzing and reporting spend, performance measurements and metrics and other attributes utilizing a variety of tools involving procurement activities.
- Create and maintain clear and compelling F&B data visualization dashboards using tools within Crunctime, Power BI or Tableau.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for F&B data analysis and reporting, while monitoring data quality and optimizing data processes and workflows.
- Maintain and/or develop F&B process workflows in Power Automate.
- Support reporting requirements and other category metrics.
- Create and maintain Outline Agreements and its contents in SAP related to Pricing, Lead time and Source of Supply in coordination with Sourcing Specialists.
- Assist in budget monitoring and value-added calculations.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
2+ years of data analysis experience.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of research methods and resources related to supporting sourcing and procurement organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized procurement systems, data warehouse and data extraction techniques:
- Strong analytical skills and extensive experience with standard software packages, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, SAP, Coupa.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization/business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Ability to extract and analyze data from multiple platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and report findings in a compelling and accessible format.
- Demonstrated experience with Procure-to-Pay (PTP) transactions and processes and Procurement platforms (e.g.Coupa).
- Experience in Crunchtime food management system.
- Preferred experience with data handling and manipulation using SQL.
- Demonstrated strong partnering skills in order to successfully achieve work efforts.
- Proven ability to formulate, organize and present analysis with a high degree of business acumen.
- Demonstrated abilities in leading or co-leading project teams.
- Proven ability to manage concurrent work efforts.
- Ability to interact with and establish relationships and to collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred experience in AI.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Finance, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
A master’s degree in data science or an MBA is preferred.
The hiring range for this position in California is $87,200.00 to $106,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
