Job Summary:

Do you enjoy using creativity, storytelling, and personalized service to create memorable experiences? At Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Transformation Artists help bring fairytale dreams to life by creating royal transformations for Guests ages 3-12.

In this highly interactive role, Transformation Artists style hair, apply makeup and nail polish, and use themed dialogue and storytelling to make each transformation feel unique. You will work closely with Guests and their families while providing an engaging and welcoming experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.

Responsibilities:

A day in the life:

  • Style hair and apply makeup and nail polish for Guests ages 3-12
  • Recreate approved transformation styles consistently and with attention to detail
  • Use themed dialogue, storytelling, and performance to create an immersive royal transformation
  • Engage young Guests and their families throughout the experience
  • Respond to special requests and provide thoughtful Guest Service solutions
  • Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Operate a computerized appointment and reservation system
  • Work collaboratively while managing appointments and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and welcoming work area

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • Comfortable providing close, hands-on styling services to Guests
  • Ability to style hair and apply makeup and nail polish
  • Ability to use themed dialogue and storytelling while performing detailed styling responsibilities
  • Strong verbal communication and Guest Service skills
  • Ability to remain patient, positive, and engaging in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn and operate point-of-sale and computerized reservation systems
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of two to three hours at a time
  • This role is part-time and requires full availability after 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays, including nights and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recreating a hairstyle from a photograph or visual reference in a clear and defined manner
  • Experience creating period or specialty hairstyles, including finger waves, French twists, and high buns
  • Experience providing services or creating positive experiences for children and families
  • Previous cashiering experience
  • Previous retail, specialty sales, salon, or related Guest Service experience
  • Bilingual skills

Additional Information:

Fairy Godmother's Apprentices are only performing the role when working in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. You will be scheduled to work in other retail locations as needed where you are performing the job duties of a Merchandise Cast Member.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
