Sr Analyst - Food & Beverage Pricing

Job Summary:

The Pricing organization is part of the Commercial Strategy team that supports clients across Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products including Ticketing, Hotels, Merchandise and Food & Beverage in the core proficiencies of yield management, revenue planning, pricing, promotions, and optimization using mathematical and statistical techniques. Our team has strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including sophisticated knowledge of revenue management principles, demonstrated experience with statistical/data science modeling, data visualization, and data manipulation. Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results-oriented, able to prioritize, and effective in a collaborative team environment.

This position will report to the Manager-Pricing, supporting DLR Food & Beverage.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Analyst, Revenue Management & Analytics will support the Disneyland Resort Pricing team by innovating Food & Beverage pricing strategies and data-driven tools to enable more informed decisions and recommendations.

  • Business Goal Achievement: Inform optimal pricing by measuring the success of past decisions and providing data-driven and actionable insights into future opportunities (menu pricing / engineering, seasonal events and banquets)

  • Data Visualization and Storytelling: Present complex findings in clear business terms to facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives

  • Project Ownership: Own analytical projects from start to finish. Gather inputs and requirements from stakeholders, refine analytical approach, and deliver actionable recommendations

  • Influence and Negotiation: Develop and nurture relationships with Food & Beverage Commercial Business Transformation, Hotels, Operations, Marketing, Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics (CIMA), and Forecasting/Revenue Management to communicate performance, drive new initiatives, and identify strategic opportunities' impacts

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in existing processes through manipulation and organization of large data sets, detailed product classification, and optimization of data and historical research tools

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics/Science, or Industrial Engineering

  • Minimum three years of work experience in finance, pricing, business analysis, and/or strategy development

  • Proficiency in acquiring and manipulating large amounts of data (i.e. SQL), applying advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA), and leveraging one or more scripting languages (R, Python, etc.)

  • Experience using statistical modeling (i.e. multivariate linear regression), optimization, or data science techniques to drive business decisions and to advise new methodologies to steer strategy – demonstrated experience with one or more modeling tools (R, Python, etc.)

  • Employ a strategic approach with the ability to influence organizational decisions on broader ideas and objectives

  • Skilled in storytelling through data integration and visualization – demonstrated experience with one or more data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), including creating and delivering presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on the audience

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision

  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and quantifying the business impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Economics, Behavioral economics, or Data Science

  • Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting

  • Passion or experience in food & beverage and / or hospitality industry

  • Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)


The hiring range for this position in California is $115,300.00-$140,900.00 yearly. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
