Supporting Disney Live Entertainments Imagination Campus at the Disneyland Resort, teaching artists lead 90-minute Performing Arts educational workshops in the field of dance, instrumental music, vocal music, or theater arts. You will partner with the Imagination Campus operations and development team, and work alongside the Creative Development Show Director to ensure that the Guest musical performers will perform to the highest possible level.
This is a seasonal role and number of days/hours work will vary based on business need.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, Guest Talent Programs.
What You Will Do
- Work with groups on selected repertoire, which may involve vocal coaching and instructing singers, musicians, actors and dancers on technique, assisting performers in improving their pitch, sound, and diction, without limitation, or accurate singing and technical dance techniques.
- Prepare the musical group for a mock recording session and/or stand up learned performance content for a mock performance
- Lead workshops in the performing arts comprised mainly of minor students
- Make appropriate musical selections from a pre-approved list targeted at the skill level of the group
- Work with the audio technicians to select appropriate musical cues to record or dance music to instruct appropriate choreography.
- Depending on your specialty, you will lead workshops of stringed instrumentalists, wind instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers and/or actors
- Partner with hourly Cast Members tasked with leading the operational details, handling logistical challenges, and maintaining timeliness of each workshop
- Be responsible to maintain compliance with all company policies, practices, and appropriate compliance and regulatory training
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of directly related experience
- Experience reading and teaching music and/or experience in teaching choreography and/or staging
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing music accompaniment on piano
- Proven passion for instructing in the performing arts
- Proven passion for the Disney brand and a knowledge of Disney Intellectual Property
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in the Music/Dance Entertainment field or equivalent work experience

The pay rate for this role in Anaheim, California is $70.00 per hour.
