About the Role

The Assistant Manager, Compensation & Benefits role will provide:

  • Consultative, analytical, and operational Compensation and Benefits support for India, in alignment with regional and global frameworks,
  • Operational support to business in partnership with HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and regional Compensation and Benefits teams.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Compensation and Benefits (C&B) – India and works closely with the relevant Compensation team in the US and the APAC regional C&B team in the areas of program design, analysis, research, implementation, execution, and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative support for India:
    • Day-to-day compensation evaluation, administration, and communication
    • Periodic market analysis/benchmarking
    • Annual compensation planning (e.g. merit, bonus, long-term incentives)
    • Legislative/regulatory compliance
    • Ad-hoc analyses
  • Collaborate with clients and HR partners to ensure compensation and benefits programs are aligned and relevant to both the market and business conditions, while also integrated with key business and HR strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders/partners to implement incremental improvements to compensation, benefits, and related HR processes both compensation and benefits specific and broader HR; drive for continued improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
  • Oversee local benefits implementation and ongoing administration for India, in alignment with regional and global frameworks
  • Collaborate with the Regional Benefits team to implement and localize programs such as health & risk insurance, wellness, and retirement plans, etc.
  • Participate in regional benchmarking and benefits optimization initiatives


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of compensation and benefits experience within the Indian market
  • Proven experience operating in a highly matrixed organization with multinational companies
  • Knowledge of compensation program concepts and practices
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong sense of teamwork, conflict resolution skills and relationship builder
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences
  • Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines (e.g., finance, legal, operations)
  • Business-oriented mindset
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access and Cognos required. Familiarity with SAP and Workday a plus

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience gained within an international, matrixed organization)
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources/ business or related field, highly regarded
