Job Summary:

About the Role 

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer to contribute to the development of the MyDisneyToday ServiceNow portal—a world-class internal platform designed to enhance employee experience across the enterprise. 

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will translate business requirements and user stories into functional, scalable, and intuitive software solutions. You’ll be involved in designing, developing, testing, and implementing ServiceNow applications that support operational excellence and digital transformation. 

This role is ideal for a certified ServiceNow developer with strong UI/UX sensibilities and a passion for building high-impact, user-centric solutions. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and implement ServiceNow Portal experiences for end users, ensuring performance, accessibility, and alignment with platform best practices. 

  • Develop, test, and deploy small to medium software solutions using ServiceNow technologies, including Employee Center Pro. 

  • Conduct initial planning and ensure technical and operational models meet system and business requirements. 

  • Collaborate with technical architects and engineering leads to ensure cross-platform alignment. 

  • Understand the implications of design decisions across interconnected systems. 

  • Drive UI/UX decisions that meet business requirements and accessibility standards. 

  • Maintain deep knowledge of ServiceNow and other web-based user experience tools. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering or development, with at least 3 years on the ServiceNow platform. 

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Portal technologies, including Employee Center Pro. 

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Java, REST, XML, HTML, and CSS. 

  • Understanding of ITIL v3 or later and ITSM best practices. 

  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear requirements and business outcomes. 

  • Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe, ICP-ACC). 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with multiple platforms and integrations. 

  • Advanced certifications in ServiceNow (e.g., Certified Systems Administrator, Certified Application Developer). 

  • Additional training in agile, product management, or software engineering. 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA. 

 

Education 

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience. 

  • Preferred:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
