Job Summary:

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Creative Production is part of the Edit, Animation, Graphics Innovation, Production and Playout of ESPN Creative Studio (EAGP). This role is responsible for:

  • Informing strategy and providing strategic support and implementation that are in alignment with strategies developed by Creative Planning and Implementation.
  • Oversee all day-to-day across all assigned projects. Strategically leading daily and long-term project planning discussions in alignment with all properties across Creative Production
  • Collaborating closely with other groups within EAGP and other associated team leads across ESPN Creative Studio to foster strong partnerships throughout the organization.
  • Lead a team of associate producers and producers in their career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies around aligning all project needs across all associated business units from the beginning and through the lifecycle of a project.
  • Plan producer resources, align with Animation, Graphics Innovation and Visual Storytelling on assignments and build communication strategies with your team for long term and short-term projects
  • Build infrastructure around each project inclusive of initiating proper practices around resourcing, aligning and collaborating cross departmentally a
  • Partner daily with ECS leaders across EAGP, Strategy, Synergy, Marketing and Music Creative to ensure proper management of agreed upon deliverables and timelines based on project requirements.
  • Manage the hard conversations based around aligned prioritization and accountability with all leaders across the business 
  • Support all leaders across projects and businesses in understand priorities, workflows and accountability  
  • Nurture and empower a team of producers to strategically plan around long term and short-term priorities by leading them through strategic planning and Intake and insight meetings
  • Create and nurture a collegial culture of integrity, empathy, and best practices.
  • Forecast upcoming and recurring campaigns with other leaders and stakeholders within ECS and Creative Production to manage overall team bandwidth and adjust resourcing based on changing needs, team capabilities, bandwidth, and project requirements.
  • Ability to successfully work horizontally and vertically across the organization to ensure alignment and bring projects to life.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of industry experience in Production, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while delivering consistently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with workflow or project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet).
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, written and verbal communication, interpersonal communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of content and commercial production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet).
  • Strong sports knowledge.
