The Walt Disney Company is comprised of three media segments including ESPN Sports, Entertainment Networks, and Direct to Consumer Streaming. These segments house all global advertising sales and ad technology for all Disney media properties. This centralization of ad sales provides advertisers a one-stop-shop for reaching diverse audiences across all of Disney’s media properties, including its online and direct-to-consumer platforms.
The Ad Sales Finance team is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to lead the consolidation of Advertising Revenue across key business cycles: annual budget, long-range plan, quarterly forecasts and quarter close. This position will partner with finance leaders globally across linear Ratings Based as well as Addressable Advertising Revenue to provide strategic and financial support for both key presentations as well as Investor Relation earnings. He/she will also lead and/or support ad hoc Advertising Revenue projects and initiatives. The Sr. Manager will provide management with high-quality, thoughtful insights, which is an integral role in supporting both the short and long-term financial success of Advertising Revenue planning. The individual must be an excellent communicator and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
What You Will Do:
- Manage the consolidation of global forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans, including financial modeling and deck preparation
- Manage the global forecast process by creating timelines, crafting deliverable requirements, and preparing communications
- Manage the consolidation of weekly reports of booked and working Ad Sales to management inclusive of revenue and key ad sales metrics
- Manage the consolidation of International Advertising revenue
- Prepare Quarterly Investor Relations support for Global Advertising Revenue
- Prepare presentations and ad hoc analyses for senior management
- Drive efficiency through process improvements, including constant update, revision and creation of financial models and templates
- Lead and/or support key ad hoc projects
- Build effective partnerships with finance, controllership, and other teams across the organization to facilitate consolidation of global data
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 7 years of experience in a corporate finance / business analytics role
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate micro details into a broader summary for different levels of management
- Advanced Excel abilities (Nested statements, pivot tables, charting, combining functions like Index, Match, Offset and Indirect)
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy with an aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies
- Prior experience managing a team and ability to effectively lead by example and mentor a team to meet strategic objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred - Masters of Business Administration
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Finance, Science/Engineering or Accounting
