How will you contribute to our magical experience?: 

The Analyst, Business Analytics will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into strategic insights that will shape the future of our Subscriptions and Distribution Partnerships on Disney Streaming platform. The role is part of the team responsible for understanding the Acquisition and Retention business metrics to generate insights that create business impact and improve the operation. The role will collaborate and support several internal and external teams in the creation of report performance/ ad-hoc analysis/recommendations/opportunities to improve the streaming services business. This role will partner directly with stakeholders to influence business strategies at a regional level. Your mission will be to uncover the hidden stories in our data and translate them into actionable recommendations that drive business growth (acquisition, engagement, retention)

The Analyst, Business Analytics will be responsible for: 

  • Based on cohorts, creating analysis with meaningful insights that improve performance, identify opportunities, improve conversion and reduce churn.
  • Partnering with local teams (Business Development and Marketing) and supporting them to identify key challenges and growth opportunities.
  • Translate business questions into concrete data hypotheses and analyses, presenting results in a clear and compelling manner
  • Measuring performance and reporting business outcomes on a daily/weekly/monthly basis with most relevant KPI's converted into insights and key action items to improve efficiency.
  • Create and maintain automated dashboards and reports in BI.
  • Design and execute analyses to deeply understand the subscription dynamics, performance, acquisition and engagement.
  • Apply statistical techniques to develop models or analysis that create value for business strategies.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or business intelligence roles, ideally in media, entertainment or tech industries.
  • Advanced, proven experience with SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets in environments like Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, etc.
  • Advance level of English both oral and written.
  • Demonstrable and solid experience using data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
  • Experience in digital subscription products is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships and interact with executives.
  • Desirable experience with Python and/or GitHub
  • Desirable knowledge of statistical and Machine Learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series) to solve business problems.
