How you will contribute to our magical experience?:

In this role, as a Category Manager, Strategic Sourcing Latam you will develop and implement strategic sourcing for all Latam while building relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the sourcing process.

The Category Manager, Strategic Sourcing Latam will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the development of short and long-term sourcing strategies for managed categories, setting priorities, objectives, and action plans to improve supply base and mitigate risk with measurable accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal clients.
  • Develop selection criteria in collaboration with key clients to evaluate vendors.
  • Develop and lead RFI/RFP’s process for various goods and services, in accordance with TWDC policy and procedures.
  • Analyze bids and recommend supplier selections based on total cost/supply to find opportunities to achieve efficient value.
  • Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodology.
  • Work with legal to prepare and complete contracts as well as perform post-award administration (e.g. negotiating, issuing change orders, contract closeouts).
  • Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and standard processes.
  • Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making.
  • Analyze market industry trends and conditions that affect internal customers and external suppliers and/or pricing.
  • Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  • 10 + years’ experience in a strategic sourcing environment.
  • Graduate's degree in supply chain management, engineering or business required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills both in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in Production Sourcing category.
  • Experience in Category Management and creating and implementing sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent communicator able to demonstrate communicating effectively with senior management.
  • Strong analytical/project skills, capable of leading and managing an array of initiatives and workgroups from project initiation thru final presentation.
  • High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a multi customer environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence future clients at all levels in the organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
