About the Role & Program

As part of Corporate Real Estate Operation’s Infrastructure Services team, you will have the opportunity to learn from a technical team, using strong critical thinking skills. We help sustain and improve the workplace experience through the operation and maintenance of owned and leased properties in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, we are responsible for building and asset performance – as well as utility and energy management – to ensure sustainment. Projects are crafted for balanced advantage through energy conservation. If selected for this role, you will be led by the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Services.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from January 2025 - June 2025.

What You Will Do

The intern will support Operations Managers and Facility Engineers with day-to-day operational tasks and problem-solving, high-level analysis, and project execution. You’ll develop your skills through hands-on experience as you help the team provide high-quality workmanship in crafts including HVAC, electrical, painting, labor, and carpentry with an emphasis on customer service, partnership, and communication.

On any given day, you might:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects
  • Perform field data collection and testing, evaluation, and development of technical solutions for MEP systems
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers, technicians, managers, sub-contractors and crafts personnel
  • Assist with condition assessment and preparation of single lines for electrical and HVAC
  • Support the making of databases for accurate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Superior collaboration, leadership, technical, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Upbeat self-starter who takes initiative - able to balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Solid understanding of AutoCAD - able to read schematic and construction drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project or facility management
  • Experience working with electrical/HVAC system design and/or construction

Education

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Currently enrolled junior, senior, or graduated within the past six (6) months majoring in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Note: Please, no rounding) as shown on a transcript

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 – June 2025, in Burbank, CA
  • Must be fully available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing and reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
