The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team leverages advanced technologies, data analytics, and scientific approaches such as optimization and statistical modeling to build innovative tools that shape business decisions across The Walt Disney Company. We support Disney Entertainment (ABC, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney+, Hulu), ESPN, Disney Experiences (Theme Parks, Cruise Line, Consumer Products, DVC), and Corporate Finance with strategic applications that enable data-driven decision-making.
The Decision Science Product team within DDSI is looking for a consultant to provide analysis for and product support of a complex and evolving custom product supporting Media Ad Sales. This role will become a subject matter expert for a business vertical, including representing client level subject matter expertise and insight across all relevant processes, knowledge of systems/tools/technology used, and direct communication with the product user groups to provide support and training. They will lead the testing efforts for the development of new user features, perform various analyses of usage and value metrics, and develop reports for users.
The successful candidate will be data-driven and business-minded, and will be passionate about solving business questions through data analysis. In this position, you will be working directly with business segments within the Disney Ad Sales and Technology organizations. You will support the integration of existing solutions or development of new solutions by testing, analyzing, and gathering feedback from clients on implemented features. You should enjoy connecting with clients to brainstorm ways to better support business decisions, being a thought partner in analytical settings, building data visualization dashboards, learning about software systems, and researching innovative solutions in generative AI technology for opportunities to improve upon existing technical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Builds and supports analytic models support business use cases
Performs data preparation, exploration, and validation
Supports internal calibration, testing, validation, and sustainment of decision science solutions
Performs data preparation, analysis and validation
Leads components of business process review, contributes to solution requirement creation, and maintains project documentation
Builds and maintains subject matter expertise in a single business vertical (e.g. performance marketing analytics in the media industry)
Supports client facing presentations and communications.
Basic Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a product support role, or a master’s degree in a related field
Experience coding in Python / SQL (or similar programming languages)
Experience with revenue management strategies
Experience with development of web-based applications
Experience with data analysis methodologies and software
Ability to communicate analytic and technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
How To Stand Out:
Familiarity with the linear media field, such as familiarity with Nielsen and/or other video measurement solutions
Experience with projects requiring full stack development
Strong understanding of advanced analytical methods
Experience with product management or devops methodologies
Experience developing and implementing generative AI models into custom product solutions
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $117,500 to $157,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
