Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services (MPACS) develops innovative and inspirational marketing partnerships between Disney and top-tier global brands to drive incremental profitability across the enterprise. As part of MPACS, the Marketing Partnerships team brings these alliances to life through best-in-class co-branded creative campaigns that leverage Disney IP in new and exciting ways.
The Creative Director (CD) is responsible for leading the creative development and execution of bespoke programs for our partners. The CD produces select high-profile Disney-led programs for large-scale initiatives. The CD also serves as creative consultant from MPACS.
A day in the life:
- Concept, develop, lead, and execute the creative process for projects with blue-chip brands such as Coca-Cola, Enterprise, General Motors, Honda, and others worldwide
- Creatively solve for alignment of partner goals with Disney’s business objectives via support in concepting, copywriting, brainstorming, storytelling, etc.
- Oversee creative ideation and determine most effective tactics and executions based on channel, consumer segment, etc. to deliver optimal campaign results
- Expertly navigate nuanced business relationships between parties across TWDC and third-party partners
- Responsible for ad hoc needs within the department including concepting, copywriting, etc.
- Cultivate team culture to possess a keen understanding of the Brand Partnership space across theme parks, streaming, television, film, social, and OOH
- Proactively ideate and brainstorm new ways for third-party brands to partner with the Walt Disney Company across multiple business areas
Requirements:
- 10 years of creative marketing experience in brand partnerships, promotions, and/or major entertainment brand/licenses
- 5 years of demonstrated ability to effectively develop and lead creative teams
- Strong creative vision and sensibilities
- Extensive background in copywriting all types of deliverables including TVC scripts, social media, B2B content, etc.
- Expert at video production from concept to final execution (script development to pre and post production, editing, color correction, audio mix, final finishing)
- Understanding of effective creative practices, trends, techniques, and processes across various touchpoints and mediums
- Ability to quickly adapt and translate partner’s products and services and the company’s business strategy into creative outputs
- Ability to negotiate with and influence partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders resulting in creative excellence and achieving business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with MAC software programs, including Keynote and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel worldwide and work atypical schedule as needed
Preferred qualifications:
- A degree in Marketing, Communications or Advertising
- Advertising Agency copywriter background
- Previous entertainment partnerships background
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $151,000 to $202,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
