The Director, Talent & Growth within the Enterprise Talent & Growth Learning and Talent Solutions Center of Excellence (COE), leads the strategy, design, governance, integration, and operational execution of enterprise coaching and assessment experiences across BetterUp and traditional coaching offerings. Serve as a cross-functional connector across Talent & Growth, segment partners, People Insights, communications, legal, privacy, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure coaching solutions are aligned to leadership priorities, business needs, participant experience, and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Shape and evolve the enterprise coaching strategy across BetterUp and traditional coaching, ensuring clear use cases, differentiated offerings, and alignment to leadership development priorities.
Define and refine coaching program models, participant experiences, and operating frameworks for executive, senior leader, and scaled leadership coaching experiences.
Lead cross-functional strategy development for traditional executive coaching, including fit-for-purpose decision-making, governance protocols, onboarding processes, confidentiality standards, roles and responsibilities, and vendor management.
Guide the integration of assessments into coaching, executive onboarding, and leadership development experiences, including alignment across data governance, privacy, legal, and stakeholder expectations.
Partner with external providers, including BetterUp, to improve coach quality, participant experience, product design, and the fit of coaching solutions to enterprise and segment needs.
Translate business needs, segment insights, participant feedback, and engagement data into recommendations that strengthen offerings, improve adoption, and inform future strategy.
Develop and operationalize reporting frameworks in partnership with PI, success metrics, and governance cadences that provide visibility into participation, engagement, license utilization, and program impact.
Support enterprise and segment launch readiness through communications planning, activation strategies, marketing inputs, re-engagement strategies, onboarding materials, and leader-facing resources.
Contribute annual and multi-year planning for coaching investments, offering evolution, and integration with broader talent and leadership initiatives.
Create tools, templates, process maps, and documentation that improve consistency, scalability, and operational execution across coaching and assessment work.
Provide team leadership by driving alignment, clarifying ownership, building cohesion, and enabling progress across a growing and evolving body of work.
Scope and Impact
This role operates across enterprise and segment stakeholders to strengthen the overall coaching ecosystem, from high-touch executive coaching to scaled digital and hybrid coaching experiences. The role influences strategy, program design, governance, communications, reporting, and integration with adjacent talent processes, helping ensure coaching and assessments are not stand-alone offerings but connected levers within leadership development, executive onboarding, succession, and organizational effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading complex, cross-functional talent or leadership development initiatives; strong strategic thinking and program design capability; ability to translate ambiguous business needs into scalable solutions; strong stakeholder management, communication, and operational planning skills; comfort working across enterprise, segment, and external partner environments; and the ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to shape recommendations and drive adoption; experience with executive coaching, leadership assessments, or talent development ecosystems is a plus
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $203,600 to $248,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
