Job Summary:

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (WDSMP) Theatrical Distribution facilitates all strategy, planning, sales, and marketing for all Disney brands for direct distribution and execution to North American exhibitors.

Manage and oversee all sales responsibilities in a specific region of the U.S. for all theatrical releases from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This includes personally handling a high-profile territory as well as overseeing and guiding a small team of salespeople and their respective territories.

Daily sales functions include but are not limited to customer direct sales functions and relationship building, problem solving, managing accounts receivables, and marketplace analytics.

As needed, manage special projects/ad hoc assignments related to any content in the theatrical distribution space, including alternate programming, Disney+ originals, Hulu features & documentaries, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

- Lead a sales-based sub group providing coaching and mentoring to Sr. Managers, Managers, Sales Reps, and Sales Coordinators.

- Negotiating the terms and conditions of theatrical playtime and formats for all of our theatrical releases within your designated area.

- Overseeing the accounts receivables collection process for your territories…providing leadership and recommendations on revenue deals, payment schedules and delinquent accounts.

- Analytics, problem solving, special projects and critical thinking to create workflow efficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Minimum 10+ years of experience in theatrical distribution or theatrical exhibition

-Analytics experience / Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint proficiency a plus

-Strong leadership and business acumen

-Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style, with well developed communication skills

-Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines and interface with diverse group of stakeholders

-Maintains professionalism under pressure


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $148,200 to $181,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
