About the Role & Program
Do you ever wonder how movies are created for Disney+ and Disney Channel? The Disney Branded Television, Original Movies team is looking for an intern to join their department. The Original Movies group oversees projects from idea through release. They are the team behind such franchises as HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, DESCENDANTS, ZOMBIES, and CAMP ROCK. If you'd like to challenge your skills and learn more about the development of movies, then this might be the right role for you!
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through December 2026. If selected for this position, you will report directly to the Coordinator, Original Movies. What You Will Do
You will work hands-on with our Original Movies team. You will have the opportunity to see how an idea moves through the development process to become a movie first-hand. Not every day is the same in the department, but you should expect to be responsible for the following:
Administrative Support – Note taking, participation in team discussions, and tasks as assigned
Database Management – Assisting with the organizing of databases, such as submissions logs
Coordinating Meetings – Interacting with outside businesses, and seeing the scope of the industry as a whole
Reviewing Materials – Reading scripts and books submitted for development
Production Timelines – Being a second set of eyes on tracking shoot schedules and materials that come in during pre-production, production, and post-production
Required Qualifications & Skills
Organized, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once
Self-starter, who contributes ideas and is ready to handle tasks big and small
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
A background working with Microsoft Office, Airtable, Adobe Acrobat, etc
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
A passion for reading and discovering new content
General knowledge of Disney Branded Television, Original Movies
Interest in entertainment, particularly development in Family/Children’s programming
Previous entertainment internship experience
Education
Candidates entering or in their final year are preferred
Students majoring in Film or English related fields preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
