As a key member of the Litigation and Patents Legal team, you’ll provide critical support to a dynamic group of legal professionals. This team partners closely with legal and business leaders across The Walt Disney Company.

You would be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the leaders you support.  It goes without saying that there will be heavy calendar setting, but this job is very much about people. The relationships you form with the executives you support enables you to  meaningfully partner with them. In addition to understanding your executives’ work -- and business needs -- you’ll also need deep knowledge of the leadership of the legal department and savviness about our businesses.  As the “face” of your executives within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty and attitude are a reflection of their team, and as such, are a key component to its success. What You Will Do:

  • Schedule high-level, time-sensitive, multi-party meetings and videoconferences
  • Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams – your ability to work well with people on all levels is a very important part of your job
  • Review your leaders’ schedule to build-in time for things like thinking and traveling to their next meeting
  • Ensure the executive is prepared for meetings and events; research and report out on specific topics as required
  • Understand the day’s priorities so you can be strategic about how you direct calendar requests, emails, phone calls and inquiries
  • Schedule internal as well as offsite conference rooms, meetings and video conferences and assist with setup
  • Be ready to throw the entire schedule out the door when an emergency comes up, then pick it up again when the dust settles
  • Handle extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company and work is confidential
  • Enter relevant business information and data into internal systems and databases as directed by attorneys and/or paralegals
  • On occasion, assist with on-boarding new employees – you’ll be the “friendly face” that newbies count on to answer all their questions, including some who are extremely senior in the organization
  • Manage internal and external communications, distribution sources, and directories

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 5 or more years supporting a Vice President and/or equivalent experience
  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills, including flawless grammar and a rich vocabulary
  • Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business
  • Ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment while prioritizing deadlines/deliverables
  • Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs and working in a Windows environment, SAP and, Concur
  • A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected
  • “EQ” skills to build bridges, forge alliances and encourage people to want to work with you
  • Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information
  • Desire to truly be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go the extra mile without being asked
  • Very strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
  • A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience at The Walt Disney Company
  • Experience working in entertainment/media or legal department
  • Knowledge in VTC Conferencing, Teams, NetDocuments, DocuSign, and the ability to learn and adopt technology platforms specific to the Litigation team’s work

Education:

  • Preferred - Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $79,400 to $106,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
