The Manager, Integrated Planning plays a critical role in bridging Studio goals with the diverse needs of The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) business segments. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful commercialization of Studio films/series through early strategic alignment, cohesive go-to-market strategies, and streamlined tools & processes. With a focus on building strong relationships and aligning efforts & priorities, the Manager collaborates with Studio and cross-company partners to maximize long term value of Studio IP.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the planning and execution of key title planning milestones (including content share-outs and strategic discussions), partnering closely with Franchise, Studio Marketing, and DX teams.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between Studio and DX partners on cross-company strategies (including size/scope of support/opportunities, priorities, holdbacks, and financial forecasts) and associated planning & development needs/timing.
- With input from key stakeholders, document, socialize, and communicate out Studio guidance with the goal of protecting film/series creative and relevant marketing windows.
- Partner with Studio Research & Analytics to provide relevant and digestible research/insights to cross-company partners that can help inform strategic decision-making and/or act as a pitch/sales tool.
- Identify best practices across Studios, and consult on cross-company process opportunities that have meaningful efficiency and/or financial impact to the Studio.
- Support the planning of large-scale events including Studio International Summit and Licensing Show.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 + years of experience in entertainment or related industry
- 5 + years of relevant experience gained from business and/or marketing planning, financial analysis and/or management consultancy
- Quick learner with robust critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting priorities seamlessly, navigating ambiguity, and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to follow-through on projects and initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to express facts, thoughts, or ideas in a clear, organized, and convincing way tailored to the audience
- Proven ability to effectively work with a variety of business partners and diverse stakeholders, and build effective and trusted relationships
- Self-starter with strong initiative and proactive approach
- Flexible, comfortable with uncertainty & ambiguity and adaptable to shifting priorities & partner needs
- Please note that this position is based in Burbank, CA and will be required to be at the office at least 4 days a week. Some travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Disney Segment experience is highly beneficial
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $103,500 to $138,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
