Job Summary:

The Marketplace & Portfolio Insights team helps Disney leaders understand how audiences, platforms, and content are evolving. We connect signals across viewing behavior, competitive activity, audience trends, and marketplace dynamics to identify what is changing, why it matters, and what implications it creates for the business. 

We are seeking a Manager, Marketplace & Portfolio Insights to support the team’s analysis of the evolving media landscape. This role will combine marketplace analysis, audience insight, and strategic storytelling to help develop perspectives on changing consumer behavior, platform dynamics, and content engagement, with a content library focus

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze content performance, audience behavior, and viewership trends to understand how viewers engage with programming across platforms and the broader entertainment ecosystem
  • Develop insights on content dynamics, including title performance, genre trends, library engagement, discovery, audience composition, and competitive positioning
  • Lead hypothesis-driven analyses exploring content performance, audience engagement, viewing patterns, and competitive dynamics across the entertainment marketplace
  • Synthesize multiple sources of information into clear insights that explain what is happening, why it matters, and potential implications for Disney’s content portfolio strategy
  • Support the development of analytical frameworks that help stakeholders understand how content drives engagement, reaches audiences, and creates value across platforms (linear, streaming, FAST, and beyond)
  • Create compelling narratives and presentations that translate complex analysis into actionable insights for business partners
  • Collaborate with teams across Research, Programming, Strategy, Distribution, Marketing, and Streaming to connect marketplace insights to business decisions

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in audience research, consumer insights, analytics, strategy consulting, or media intelligence
  • Experience working with audience measurement platforms, including Nielsen and related media datasets
  • Experience conducting or partnering on qualitative and quantitative research initiatives
  • Experience developing competitive intelligence, marketplace, or audience insights within media, entertainment, technology, or consulting environments
  • Experience translating audience and consumer insights into business implications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Analytics, Business, Social Sciences, or related field


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $105,100 to $140,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
