Our Production Safety team works alongside and collaborates with our television and film productions to ensure they effectively comply with local regulations, follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines, and implement best practices throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Our team promotes safe and responsible working standards across all studio brands, including Disney Live Action, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and 20th Century.
What will you do:

You will gain hands-on experience supporting the department’s mission, learning systems and tools that drive production safety, and growing your professional confidence. Every contribution helps keep cast, crew, and operations protected, making your role essential to success and safety for each production. As a Production Safety Intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on tasks and collaborative projects, including:
Supporting department initiatives and assisting with projects addressing safety, health, and environmental needs for productions.
Assisting with preparing and organizing reports, data, and materials related to safety performance, compliance, or training initiatives.
Collaborating with mentors and industry professionals to realize creative visions while safeguarding our cast and crew well-being.
Preparing materials and notes for safety reviews, lessons learned, and team meetings.
Collaborating to identify and recommend improvements to processes, communication, and administrative efficiency.
Participating in risk reduction activities by helping to identify potential hazards, contributing to mitigation plans, and supporting efforts to minimize risks on set and throughout production operations.
Learning and using platforms such as Air Table, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and other safety and compliance systems.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organization and time-management; able to handle multiple tasks
High accuracy and attention to detail in managing data and documents
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides or Canva, Outlook)
Interest in film/TV production, health & safety, and environmental compliance and sustainability
Self-starter; able to work autonomously (as needed)
Preferred Qualification and skills:
Career interest in safety, health, and environmental fields
Problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from August 2026 through December 2026
Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
