About the Role & Program

Disney Global Security is dedicated to protecting the Walt Disney Company's Guests, Cast, Crew, employees, sites, and intellectual property. The Production Security, Special Events, and Anti-Piracy Team is responsible for safeguarding Disney's productions from concept to completion, protecting premiere events and press tours as they occur, and ensuring the confidentiality of production and film content prior to announcement or public release. We strive to ensure the safety and security of Disney's growing portfolio and family of brands.

The Production Security & Special Events Intern position reports to the Production Security Manager.

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025.

What You Will Do

You will play a vital role in safeguarding our brands and ensuring the success of our productions. We work closely with the Production Security team to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, protect sensitive content, and manage physical security for various business units.

  • Support regular communication with production partners to ensure security education throughout the production lifecycle
  • Develop security risk documentation for crew, talent and executive education
  • Aid in facilitation of talent security training programs
  • Assist in development and implementation of comprehensive security plans for various productions and events
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to brand protection, marketing/promotional events, and physical security
  • Maintain records of key takeaways from special events.
  • Develop briefing decks for Global Security leadership re: production or event overviews
  • Support gathering of key data, recording of metrics and development of metric reporting for internal use

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven presentation skills and ability to motivate both internal and external partners
  • Self-starter, motivated, proactive, dependable, flexible, detail oriented
  • Excellent organizational , project management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaborator and great teammate
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and assignments
  • Resourceful, innovative, and responsive to change
  • Strong computer/technology skills (Keynote, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.)

Education

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date, having studied Security, Business, Govermental Affairs or a related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • This internship is a primarily onsite position -- Must be able to provide own housing and reliable transportation for work in the Burbank, California area. Also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
