We are seeking a Security Officer to aid in our Studio lot in supporting a safe and secure environment for Cast Members and Guests!
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Greet, screen, and direct all visitors to company property following established procedures.
- Implement Company security and parking policies consistently and fairly
- Patrol Company property, identifying and reporting safety and security hazards
- Secure and/or unsecured properties as directed
- Respond to medical, fire, security, and other safety-related emergencies as trained
- Write comprehensive reports to assist the Investigations Department
- Provide security presence at special events, including private screenings, parties, etc.
- Assist in the placement and removal of barricades and posts and the opening and closing of gates for the direction of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Monitor security equipment and report problems
- Monitor and utilize security technologies including Closed Circuit Television and other computer-based programs
- Act as guest hosts, answering routine questions from visitors and employees, where appropriate.
- Handle other special assignments as required
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrates integrity in all forms of communication and action
- Superior writing ability and command of basic English grammar
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic familiarity with computers, including MS Outlook e-mail and MS Word
- Flexibility to work varying schedules (hours and days off), especially over time
- Must possess a valid California BSIS issued Guard Card and California Driver’s License
- Must have valid certificates for CPR, First Aid, and AED.
- Demonstrate excellent decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
- Clear teamwork focus but also able to work independently when required
- Creative thinker and highly adaptable and must able to work well under pressure
- Ability to operate company transportation, including electric vehicles and bicycles
- Physical ability to perform all responsibilities as listed above.
- Company Performance record clear of any performance issues for the past 6 months
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
Preferences:
- Lead/Supervisory experience

Additional Information:
- This position falls within the jurisdiction of the OPEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The hiring range for this position in California is $22.84 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
