About the Role & Team
Performance Marketing is an internal cross-functional division within The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Marketing team. The Performance Marketing team leverages developing and maturing ad technologies to achieve remarkable data-driven results within auction-based or otherwise addressable media platforms and supports other paid media and marketing efforts with insights, recommendations, and innovative marketing technologies.
The Performance Marketing division includes Marketing Technology and Marketing Science who help drive innovation, as well as Marketing Strategy & Operations, Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Compliance who ground the overall team in the business. Together, we strive and collaborate for continuous improvement in advertising effectiveness and efficiency while protecting and enhancing the magical brands of The Walt Disney Company.
This role sits within the Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations team and will partner closely with internal marketing teams, media agencies and performance marketing activation partners to drive value for a diverse portfolio of Disney brands.
As a Senior Analyst, Performance Marketing, you will help shape audience, bidding, optimization, and measurement strategies that maximize media efficiency and effectiveness while contributing to the ongoing evolution of Disney's performance marketing capabilities.
What You Will Do
As part of a collaborative performance marketing pod, you will support the planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of performance marketing campaigns across the Disney enterprise. You'll work alongside marketing, analytics, technology, and agency partners to ensure campaigns are strategically designed, operationally sound, and continuously optimized for success.
This role is ideal for a data-driven marketer who enjoys working at the intersection of audience strategy, media activation, analytics, and emerging advertising technologies.
Responsibilities
- Work directly under and with the Performance Marketing Senior Team Lead to develop and execute performance marketing strategies for different brands under the Disney Enterprise
- Build and implement holistic, omni-platform audience data strategies leveraging first-party, second-party, and third-party data sources
- Build and implement auction bid, pacing, and optimization strategies to improve media performance
- Monitor campaign delivery, pacing, and budget utilization to maximize performance and efficiency
- Ensure campaign tracking, taxonomy, and operational standards are properly implemented across media platforms
- Support audience testing initiatives and performance experiments to drive continuous learning and innovation
- Interpret, analyze and share analyses and learnings from titles, data testing and performance marketing campaigns and translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Partner with Marketing Science and Media Agency teams to identify opportunities for improved marketing effectiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal marketing, media, technology, and business teams to achieve campaign objectives
- Act as a primary point of coordination with agency activation teams to ensure campaigns are launched, maintained, and optimized appropriately
- Support ad hoc analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives as business needs evolve
- Stay informed on evolving industry trends, advertising technologies, measurement practices, and media platform capabilities
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in advertising media (primarily digital), performance marketing, media analytics, or paid social/search/programmatic auction buying
- Experience working with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, DSPs (Google DV360, Trade Desk, Yahoo, Amazon), Innovid, LiveRamp, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including audience targeting, attribution, measurement, and optimization methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of digital campaign implementation, tracking, tagging, and ad-serving fundamentals
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SQL
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience using project and workflow management tools such as AirTable
- Experience collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting performance marketing campaigns for entertainment, media, direct-to-consumer, or consumer-facing brands
- Familiarity with audience management platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), and marketing technology solutions
- Experience working with media agencies and external activation partners
- Exposure to marketing experimentation, incrementality testing, or advanced measurement methodologies
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Additional Information
- This role sits in the Burbank office 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday with flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
The hiring range for this position in California is $106,900.00 to $143,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
