Job Summary
Disney Entertainment Television (“DET”) brings together a portfolio of world-class brands and platforms spanning streaming, broadcast, cable networks, content production, and business operations. The DET Financial Planning & Analysis team manages planning and forecasting across DET, including the Long-Range Plan, the Annual Operating Plan, and recurring forecasts.
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the team’s forecasting, reporting, and analysis responsibilities, helping translate complex financial information into clear insights for leadership. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, sound judgement, and the ability to build productive partnership across Finance, Controllership, and business teams. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, proactive, highly organized, and motivated to improve processes, build strong partnerships, and help tell the financial story of DET’s evolving media business.
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad understanding of DET across multiple functions, teams, and strategic priorities. The role also provides regular exposure to senior business and finance leaders, offering valuable insight into how key decisions are evaluated and communicated across the Company.
What You Will Do
- Support consolidation of Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and recurring forecasts across DET
- Help manage planning-cycle execution, including timelines, templates, deliverables, communications, and follow-ups
- Analyze forecast submissions and financial results to assess accuracy, identify trends, surface risks and opportunities, and develop key business storylines for leadership review
- Partner with Finance, Controllership, and business teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support leadership decision-making
- Prepare executive presentations, financial summaries, and ad hoc analyses that clearly communicate business drivers, performance trends, and strategic considerations
- Proactively improve financial models, reporting tools, and recurring processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability (incl. design, testing, and deployment of the Company’s new EPM tool)
- Support recurring and ad hoc deliverables for senior management, Corporate FP&A, Investor Relations, and other key stakeholders as needed
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, business operations, or a related analytical field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence partners across the organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, solving problems, and improving processes
- Experience with financial systems, data visualization / reporting tools, and emerging AI-enabled technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field
The base salary for this position in Burbank, CA is $104,800.00 - $128,000.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
