Job Summary:

Within The Walt Disney Company, Disney Entertainment (DE) is a business segment that brings together world-class product, technology, media and commercialization teams. DE manages the production and distribution of content via the Company’s streaming services (including Disney+, Hulu), broadcast and cable television networks, as well as content licensing (including theatrical, home entertainment, music, stage plays). DE Segment FP&A group acts as a key partner for DE Senior leadership and TWDC Corporate FP&A team to consolidate, analyze and report DE current and future financial strategy and global performance. The group also leads the sharing of best practices across DE Finance teams (lines of business, centers of excellence, international regions) for process improvements and works closely with Finance Transformation teams to constantly increase efficiencies.

Job Summary:

Within DE Segment FP&A group, the SFA will primarily support the financial consolidation and financial performance analysis for the Direct-to-Consumer businesses. The SFA will partner with DE Finance teams to consolidate, report, analyze and challenge financials for these specific businesses, as part of TWDC’s main financial cycles (quarterly close, quarterly forecast, annual AOP/LRP).

In addition to core FP&A responsibilities, this role will play a meaningful part in driving process improvement and financial transformation initiatives. The analyst will partner closely with Finance, Operations, and Transformation teams to streamline forecasting workflows, enhance reporting through advanced visualization tools, and explore the application of automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.

Every single day as a Senior Financial Analyst is different! On any one day you might:

  • Support the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of financial results across Networks and DTC businesses

  • Support forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, and Long-Range Plans, including variance and KPI analysis

  • Engage in ad-hoc analysis, including special projects at the request of senior management

  • Design and maintain dashboards and executive-ready reporting using Power BI, enabling self-service insights and improved data transparency

  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, including standardization, automation, and documentation of best practices

  • Collaborate with Transformation and Technology teams to identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics (e.g., forecasting enhancements, anomaly detection, scenario modeling, and process efficiencies)

  • Improve data quality, governance, and consistency across financial reporting and planning processes

  • Contribute to preparing clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations for senior management and executive audiences

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to stay informed of industry trends, business challenges, and emerging financial methodologies

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

  • 2+ years of finance, FP&A, or analytical experience, preferably in media, entertainment, technology, or a high-growth environment

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Cognos/TM1, Oracle or similar)

  • Experience with or exposure to building dashboards and reports in Power BI

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial principles

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership

  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable working style

NICE TO HAVES

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • High proficiency in SAP and/or Oracle


The hiring range for this position in California is $104,800.00-$128,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
