The Walt Disney Company’s Employee Communications team is responsible for ideating, creating, and distributing content that elevates the Disney employee experience. The Sr. Specialist, Employee Communications, will assist in developing, driving, and tracking a wide range of internal communications designed to inform, engage, and inspire employees – our most hardworking brand ambassadors.
The Senior Graphic Designer will develop compelling, visually engaging design solutions in alignment with corporate brand standards, ensuring consistency without sacrificing creativity. Additionally, this individual must be a team player, able to prioritize multiple projects and deliverables with speed and agility while bringing a project’s strategies, goals, and objectives to life.
This position reports to the Manager, Creative Planning & Graphic Design.
This is a full-time role.
What You Will Do
Be a storyteller – create visual content that strengthens storytelling and brings an “employee first lens” to campaigns.
Follow and reinforce company brand guidelines and standards to create compelling and inventive designs, including presentations, editorial-supportive imagery, event graphics, emails, and iconography, among others.
Create campaign toolkits and style guides – including visual frameworks, infographics, and storytelling templates – to drive key priorities.
Serve as a creative thought partner and present design ideas to stakeholders with a focus on elevating creative deliverables that meet both partner and content team objectives.
Collaborate across communications teams and maintain strong working relationships with clients, partners, team members, and external vendors.
Verbally articulate visual concepts to leadership, provide thoughtful design solutions and their rationale, and pivot graciously when required.
Conceptualize and deliver design solutions tailored to a variety of audiences (exec, technical, employee, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills
5+ years of experience in a visual design-related field with knowledge of diverse design styles and applications
Experience designing presentations from start to finish
Valid Portfolio of professional design work that demonstrates skills, creativity, and experience in the graphic design field, both for digital and print, highlighting previous presentation work
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and strong skills in presentation design (PowerPoint and Keynote)
Experience applying and executing against established brand standards with strong attention to visual detail
Experience taking direction and feedback from multiple stakeholders, thinking strategically, prioritizing deadlines, and navigating challenges in a fast-paced environment
Experience working as a self-starter, both independently and collaboratively, on assigned projects
Experience in presenting individual and team work effectively to clients and stakeholders
Experience collaborating with diverse teams and working effectively with a wide range of personalities and job levels, including senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience using collaboration tools such as Figma, Microsoft Teams, and Smartsheet
Experience creating designs using Canva
Experience with print production processes, including color correction
Experience with video production and editing, including After Effects and motion graphics
Experience designing data visualizations, infographics, and other technical design elements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Advanced degree is preferred

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $95,500.00-$128,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
