Job Summary:

The Disney Corporate Brand team is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Data Governance to support our Customer Data Governance program. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our enterprise consumer data taxonomy and catalog, ensuring data is accurate, high quality, and compliant with all applicable policies and regulations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our enterprise consumer data is used effectively and responsibly, delivering powerful business outcomes while honoring guest privacy and trust.

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Data Governance team, you will play a central role in shaping how we manage and leverage our enterprise consumer data to better understand, engage, and grow our audiences across Disney while maintaining responsible and respectful data practices.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Developing, managing, and optimizing our audience taxonomy and data catalog to support enterprise activation and measurement.

  • Promote standardization of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) across enterprise and business unit partner initiatives.

  • Implementing and refining processes for creating and approving new attributes and audience segments while ensuring alignment with privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements.

  • Stewarding metadata accuracy, consistency, and compliance in collaboration with Data Governance, Marketing, Analytics, and Privacy partners.

  • Monitoring usage of consumer data and driving continuous improvement and adoption of trusted, data quality certified audience segments.

  • Promoting best practices in metadata management and data stewardship through training, documentation, and user enablement.

  • Supporting data quality initiatives, quarterly access reviews, and compliance with data retention and suppression rules.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in data governance, taxonomy/metadata management, audience data, or CRM/activation in a complex enterprise.

  • Hands-on experience curating data catalogs and business glossaries (Alation or similar); strong metadata writing and organization skills.

  • Working knowledge of audience creation, custom audiences/lookalikes, and platform policies; comfort with concepts like consent gating, DNSMI, VPPA, and COPPA compliance.

  • Familiarity with customer data segmentation strategies (e.g., lifecycle, geo, engagement, affinity).

  • Experience collaborating with technical, legal and business stakeholders.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in media, entertainment, or a related industry.

  • Practical understanding of US privacy landscape (e.g., CCPA/CPRA) and records/information management principles.

  • Exposure to Snowflake, Hightouch (or similar audience activation tools), and Tableau; ability to read basic SQL is a plus.

  • Experience partnering with Legal/Privacy, Data Quality, and activation teams on cross functional launches.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $108,900.00 to $140,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
