Within Disney Entertainment Television (DET), the Strategy & Business Operations team serves as a trusted advisor to television executives and key stakeholders throughout The Walt Disney Company. The team is responsible for strategic planning and operational execution, driving clarity, alignment, and impact across the television portfolio. Operating at the intersection of content, business, and technology, the team analyzes title-level performance / economics, shapes long-term slate strategy, and supports complex deal negotiations. Additional areas of focus include evaluating emerging opportunities in areas like Generative AI, short-form video, and user-generated content.

The Senior Analyst role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in media, entertainment, and strategic consulting. This position leverages best practices and a deep understanding of both internal and external business issues to drive process improvement and operational excellence. The Senior Analyst works independently with minimal guidance, solving complex problems and taking new perspectives on existing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Projects: Lead in-depth research on industry trends, market dynamics, and new technologies to inform business strategy.

  • Business Operations: Apply best practices in executing process improvement efforts that drive operational efficiency aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Decision Support: Evaluate potential deals, transactions and strategic initiatives to guide executive decisions.

  • Content Strategy: Support the optimization of DET’s content strategy, utilizing performance metrics to ensure alignment with business priorities and audience engagement goals.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate across content, business, and technology teams to drive clarity, alignment, and measurable impact.

  • Executive Communications: Prepare and deliver high impact briefing materials and talking points for internal presentations, board meetings, and other executive communications.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 2+ years in strategy, consulting, or investment banking.  Experience in Media / Entertainment is strongly preferred.

  • Analytical Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to conduct data-driven analyses and synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to tackle complex business challenges by developing innovative solutions and taking new perspectives on existing approaches.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communicator with experience building presentations for executive audiences.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, AirTable and emerging AI tools (prompting, refining, etc.)

  • Team & Collaboration: Proactive and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

*This role reports into the office in Burbank MON - THURS, with Fridays being work from home days.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $115,500.00 to $154,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
