Platform Distribution Strategy is responsible for applying ingenuity and critical thinking skills to advance the Media Networks, Direct-To-Consumer, Digital Transactional, and other platforms. Platform Distribution Strategy is looking for a Sr. Manager, Business Strategy to partner with PD Strategy executive leadership in developing and executing a unified global sales strategy, through partnership with key groups across other business units. The Sr. Manager will play a key role in supporting the international / local teams on ongoing deal evaluations and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and thoughtful advisory support to international teams on existing business models, potential risks and challenges, and solves
- Coordinate with local teams in APAC, LATAM and EMEA to align key issues and goals, and support a streamlined negotiation process
- Support any ongoing modeling and analysis needed as part of the deal evaluations
- Work with domestic Sales, Legal, Business Affairs and other stakeholders on select Pay-TV, and global DTC and transactional clients
- Manages team responsible for platform distribution strategy
- Ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports
Required Experience:
- 7+ years of directly related experience in strategy, finance, or business development; could be a combination of professional work and applicable education (e.g., MBA or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Understanding of media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends
- Experience managing in-depth analyses and projects from concept to completion
- Excellent management, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong proven written, verbal, modeling skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience in investment banking and/or management consulting
- Industry experience in global media, technology and/or with subscription business models
- Experience managing (directly and/or indirectly) and growing junior team members
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree
#DISNEYPLATFORMDISTRIBUTION
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $149,500 - $205,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
