Job Summary:

Disney has explored new worlds through magical storytelling since its first completely live-action film, Treasure Island in 1950. The Sr. Secretary position in Creative is an administrative support role covering phones, scheduling, expenses, and other admin duties for two Executives. In addition, this individual may read project drafts, submissions, and samples, providing feedback as part of the creative development process.

This position falls under the collective bargaining agreement of OPEIU (Local 174). For additional information, please refer to www.opeiu174.org

Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen, and roll calls for executives
  • Maintain call sheet
  • Manage executives' calendars
  • Schedule internal & external meetings (with writers, for projects in development, etc.)
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Liaise with other Disney executives, producers, writers, and assistants internally and externally
  • Complete projects and research requests to advance development goals
  • Provide feedback on project drafts, submissions, and samples
  • Represent the department in a professional manner
  • Support departmental projects as needed
  • Maintain organizational documents and monitor the status of deliverables
  • Assist in the preparation of meetings
  • Maintain files
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years executive assistant experience at a Studio, Production Company, Literary Agency or Talent Agency
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction
  • Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with SAP. Working knowledge of Adobe and Keynote preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
  • Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team


The pay rate for this OPEIU role in Burbank, CA is $23.37 per hour.
