The Hive is the in-house Creative Advertising agency at Disney Entertainment. We specialize in creating marketing assets for all of the Disney brands, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney Live Action, Disney+, Pixar, Disney Animation, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight, Disney Corporate and more.
Music Supervision is the art of selecting or creating songs and recordings for use in visual media like film, television, video games, commercials, and trailers. Here at the Hive, we primarily focus on music supervision for theatrical trailers, streaming trailers, and brand advertising. The goal of this internship is to provide an immersive learning and real-world experience through impactful projects.
What You Will Do
- Attend weekly staff music meetings
- Help organize in house music server
- Help organize and keep music vendor contact sheet up to date
- Research master and publishing rights information
- Help Music Coordinator prepare cue sheets
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Organized
- Be able to multitask
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Excel, MS SharePoint, and file-sharing platforms (Box, Disco, etc)
- Must be able to maintain confidential information
- Knowledge of all genres of music as well as familiarity with a variety of Disney Studios television shows and films
- Interested in learning more about the career fields of Music Supervision, Music Clearance, and Sync Licensing
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship and/or work experience in the advertising or marketing field, preferably in entertainment industry or an agency
- A passion for music, film, and marketing is a plus, specifically music used in trailers.
Education
- Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year preferred
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, music or related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through August 2026
- Able to be fully available for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
