About the Role & Team:

The Walt Disney Studios is the heart of creativity that drives our iconic storytelling across the globe. We are seeking passionate and talented individuals for our Summer 2025 Technical Internship Program. This posting serves as an expression of interest for multiple technical roles within The Walt Disney Studios. As a Summer 2025 Technical Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that contribute to the magic of Disney, gaining invaluable experience and learning from industry leaders.

Our interns can work on projects involving:

  • Software Development: Collaborate with teams to design, build, test, and deploy software solutions that enhance various studio workflows, from production to marketing. Develop user-friendly interfaces, services, and APIs, and engage in agile processes to deliver high-quality products.

  • Data Engineering: Design and maintain data pipelines, develop data models, and manage databases to support analytics and reporting. Ensure data quality, security, and availability across various platforms.

  • Content Security: Work with the Content Security team to protect the studios’ intellectual property by assessing and implementing security solutions tailored to our unique content creation needs. Collaborate with production teams to ensure secure workflows.

  • UX/UI Design: Contribute to the design of next-generation digital experiences for cast members and audiences. Partner with experienced designers to create innovative and visually appealing UX/UI solutions that enhance our products and experiences.

  • Business Analysis: Support the development of internal systems for creative and production teams by analyzing business processes, defining requirements, and assisting in project management. Ensure that technology solutions meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • A passion for technology, creativity, and storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with web frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and database management.

  • Knowledge of content security standards, data modeling, or UX/UI design principles.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Git, Jira, or similar.

  • A strong interest in contributing to the development of cutting-edge tools and systems in a dynamic studio environment.

Education:

Currently working toward a Bachelor's or Master's with a major in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, UX/UI Design, Information Technology, or a related field.

Program Details:

  • Location: Burbank, CA.

  • Program Length: May/June - August/September 2025 (12 weeks).

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Eligibility Requirements:

At the time of application:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university , taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. 

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and provide full availability for the entire program duration.

  • Must provide your own housing and transportation during the internship.

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.

This posting is seeking candidates to fill multiple roles in Burbank, California. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
