What You Will Do

  • Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs.

  • May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

  • Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, enhancements, and/or new systems and applications.

  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experiences.

  • Develop competence by performing structured work assignments.

  • Analyze information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • Receive instruction, guidance and direction from others.

  • Be accountable for developing technical contribution to team.

  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions and check for understanding.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Some technical proficiency with one or more of: Python, NodeJS, Java, Go, Jira, Confluence

  • A basic understanding of software engineering practices

  • An understanding of data structures and algorithms

  • An understanding of database systems

  • An understanding of automation tools

  • Experience with web application development

  • AngularJS or React experience

  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Kanban

Education

  • Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study.

Program Details

  • Location: Orlando, FL or Burbank, CA

  • Program Length: May/June - August/September 2025 (12 weeks)

  • Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Eligibility Requirements

At the time of application:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. 

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and provide full availability for the entire program duration.

  • Must be able to provide your own housing and transportation during the internship.

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
