About the Role & Team
The Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Transformation Department is responsible for managing the P&L for the total company, partnering with Corporate teams on budget management, and transforming the Finance function. Finance Transformation is a high-profile, cross-functional initiative to define and create the future of Finance at The Walt Disney Company.
We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Finance Transformation to join our Corporate FP&A and Finance Transformation team. This role will report directly to the EVP for the group and will support the build out of a team that will be instrumental in leading the development and execution of Transformation initiatives focused on redesigning the planning processes across the Enterprise, enabled by a modern data foundation and technology platform.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects, and brings experience in FP&A along with a passion for the data and tools to support innovation in a modern Finance organization. The Vice President will work closely with Finance leaders throughout the enterprise, building and managing relationships to effectively rally stakeholders around common objectives, Demonstrated experience with strategy development and execution, project management, process design and automation, along with supporting change management, is highly preferred.
What You Will Do
Architect and implement a comprehensive Finance transformation plan in collaboration with Segment transformation teams and external consultants
Develop and execute a strategy to modernize capabilities in budgeting, actuals, forecasting, and financial analysis, while realizing significant efficiencies. Direct responsibility for Planning transformation, while partnering with the Control team on their initiatives for a holistic Finance Transformation agenda
Develop a set of actionable blueprints outlining the process redesign, data & technology and organization design elements to achieve top quartile performance objectives
Establish an enterprise-wide, “single-source-of-truth" data architecture and governance model.
Implement planning tools, automation and AI to drive a step change in performance
Develop an agenda to enhance the capabilities of Finance associates across all levels of the organization
Guide and influence key collaborators across the organization, ensuring successful implementation of transformation initiatives that drive long-term, sustainable results
Required Qualifications & Skills
12+ years of progressive work experience in the areas of Finance, Strategy and Transformation
Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept through to implementation to generate business value
Track record of delivering meaningful business results, demonstrating strong business acumen
Deep knowledge of FP&A activities, systems, tools, and processes
Passion for data and technology, with deep curiosity for learning emerging technology and a pragmatic approach to applying it at scale
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and drive results through partnerships at all levels. Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to lead through ambiguity, instilling order in a fast-paced environment where internal requirements and external technology continues to evolve
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, developing team members to meet challenging expectations in current roles and ensuring readiness for continued growth across the organization
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling recommendations to senior leadership and the broad organization
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
MBA is preferred
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $255,700.00 to $342,900.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
