The Assistant Manager, Wholesale Product Operations, plays a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risk, and enhance cross-functional collaboration. This role is key to enabling the successful execution and scalability of the Disney Store global wholesale business with third-party retailers, requiring a solutions-oriented individual who can move beyond execution to influence partners and elevate how the business operates. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex operational data into clear insights and actions. This role will sit onsite in Celebration, FL and will report directly to the Manager, Global Product Operations.
What you will do:
Own the end-to-end health of the purchase order lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and visibility from creation through delivery
Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and gaps, and lead continuous improvements in how POs are created, tracked, and managed across systems and teams
Oversee PO creation and revisions, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business needs
Identify root causes of recurring operational issues and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve them
Implement scalable solutions to prevent recurrence and improve overall execution
Manage PO exceptions in partnership with logistics and sourcing, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
Support execution for third-party retail accounts, ensuring alignment with partner requirements and operational expectations
Build strong, trust-based relationships across logistics, sourcing, finance, compliance, and operations teams
Lead and facilitate cross-functional discussions to address challenges, align on priorities, and drive decisions
Partner closely with vendors and sourcing teams, providing clear direction and resolving issues with a solutions-oriented mindset
Support vendor and facility onboarding, ensuring accurate setup and compliance readiness
Collaborate with compliance teams to proactively mitigate risks and address vendor-related issues
Identify system gaps and inefficiencies impacting PO management and operational workflows
Partner with IT to design and implement scalable solutions that improve data accuracy, visibility, and team productivity
Review wholesale cost structures and identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining healthy retailer margins
Translate complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights
Present business updates, risks, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners
Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and a proactive mindset
What you will have/ Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in product operations, account management, or related roles within a mid-to-large organization
Experience in retail, wholesale, or omnichannel environments preferred
Strong understanding of purchase order management and operational workflows
Proven ability to operate in a highly cross-functional, matrixed organization
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities beyond day-to-day execution
Demonstrated ability to influence partners and drive alignment across teams
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with confidence in presenting to stakeholders
High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to operate with ambiguity and drive results with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Preferred Skills:
Experience with systems such as Excel, Tableau, OMS, PLM, or similar tools
Experience working with sourcing, logistics, or vendor management teams
Exposure to systems/process improvement initiatives
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience
The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $83,000.00-$111,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
