The Associate Project Manager (Project Hire/Internal Assignment) is responsible for the development and completion of purchasing and tracking orders within the Disney Cruise Line Entertainment teams for various equipment or assets. The Associate Project Manager works directly with various Entertainment leaders and Operational leaders to ensure that each cruise ship venue has the various equipment that it needs to operate and manages the process from the time of asset need discovery to asset delivery.
You will report to the Sr Manager, Entertainment Design & Technical.
This is a Project Hire/Internal Assignment position without any guarantee of permanent placement.
What You Will Do:
Work independently and in collaboration with multiple partners, both within and external to the Entertainment line of business
Build and maintain a detailed database for various Disney Cruise Line Entertainment equipment asset tracking and maintenance
Support the procurement and logistics process for various Disney Cruise Line Entertainment Technical purchases
Work with logistics partners and systems to ensure on-time delivery to the vessel of all Entertainment equipment and assets
Act as the liaison between operational teams and entertainment teams to ensure proper process and tracking for any entertainment purchases
Create purchase orders for various entertainment technical equipment and assets
Proven understanding of all components of the Disney Live Entertainment Business and basic understanding of requirements, operational practices, and safety considerations for each individual project
Identify the scope, milestones, business requirements, timelines, and budget for each assigned project
Assure a consistent interface among Subject Matter Experts, Content Providers, Partners, and Clients
Proficiently lead cross-functional meetings, facilitate content-gathering and review meetings for multiple topics, and present project plans, updates , and executive summaries
Proactively handle changes in project scope, identify challenges, and devise contingency plans
Required Qualifications & Skills:
At least 3 years of experience managing, tracking, or creating databases for various sourcing efforts
Proven experience in a sourcing, procurement, or logistics role
Ability to proactively manage changes in project scopes, identify challenges, devise contingency plans, and complete work with minimal direction
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient writing and note-taking skills
Proficiency in gathering, examining, and coordinating project content
Experience leading cross-functional meetings or teams
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally required
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and a company-issued corporate credit card to support international business travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Amos, and Smartsheet
Education:
Associate's Degree in the entertainment field or equivalent experience is required
Bachelor’s Degree in the entertainment field or equivalent experience is preferred
