Creative Director
We are Disney's Yellow Shoes, the in-house creative agency for Disney Experiences. Every day, we create compelling, impactful creative content for one of the most beloved brands on the planet. Who are we looking for? An extraordinary Creative Director with a relentless passion for uncovering “the big idea,” and a mastery of ideation in every medium. The ideal candidate, will be well-versed in current design trends, has a keen understanding of omni-channel creative, and a proven track record of delivering award-winning creative campaigns.
The Creative Director assists with daily leadership on client business. The Creative Director will be instrumental in upholding creative vision and generating work to maintain Disney Yellow Shoes standards. They will apply insights to develop, write and present concepts using passionate curiosity as a source for inspiration. The Creative Director will be a highly organized time manager, team morale booster, a great communicator and listener. The Creative Director is expected to think creatively in all aspects of the job from brainstorming and internal leadership to client communications. The candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the agency forward with a definite emphasis on the Disney Cruise Line business. They will work alongside the Group Creative Director and be a positive role model to all members of the creative team.
This full time position is based in Celebration, FL .
This individual will report to the Group Creative Director.

You will be:
Directing the creative function so that the environment, culture, team, capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style and other elements support the creative and strategic goals and brand of the agency.
Leading by example as both a creator and a director by actively participating in concept development, design, and execution when needed, setting the standard for the quality of work expected from the team.
Oversees strategy development in collaboration with the planning team and GCD.
Studies the creative marketplace, assessing where the agency’s work stands against competitors, as well as our clients’ competitors’ creative work.
Participating in the development of agency plans and programs by advising, evaluating and assisting in moving initiatives forward and developing the creative team.
Instilling a passion for collaboration, teamwork and inspiration throughout the department.
Staying on top of industry, creative and managerial trends so that the department is continually prepared to challenge and win in the marketplace.
Guide the work of all direct reports, giving them feedback and leading the generation of stellar ideas.
Preparing team members for presentations and collaborating with clients (where applicable).
You will have:
15+ years in an agency setting, or related experience and 5+ years’ experience leading teams in a professional environment.
Exceptional presentation skills– a requirement for both internal and external creative presentations, including proficiency in Keynote and Powerpoint.
Strong background in art direction, design, and photography with an unwavering attention to detail.
Ability to lead multiple assignments, self-manage and meet deadlines while working under pressure with tight, quick timelines
Attacking both the big projects and smaller ones with equal enthusiasm and being a positive force, instilling inspiration and keeping teams motivated to do their best work.
High-level creative/critical thinking skills, with experience in brainstorming, managing and implementing marketing, social media and event programs.
Demonstrated experience across a wide range of marketing channels.
Strong understanding of client business needs and how it applies to marketing strategy, objectives and creative deliverables.
Strong articulation of a creative philosophy and the ability to share that philosophy throughout the organization.
Proven track record for outstanding concept ideation and award–winning creative; Competency in ideating in the digital and social space.
Excellent writing /copy writing skills (CW) or design skills (AD).
Knowledge and genuine interest in the Walt Disney Company history–including films, animation, television and vacation experiences.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights and holidays and nationally/internally with a US Passport for international travel.
Preferred experience:
Innovation, trend, promotional, experiential, social media experiences preferred.
Education:
Associates (2 year) degree in Advertising, Art, Graphic Art or Design.
Preferred education:
An Ad school or Liberal Arts (4 year) degree is preferred.
